Whoo! Back to work!

Hello everyone,

I was caught up in animation work for a deadline was coming up at the end of February so unfortunately things had to be pushed aside until I got it done (plus it was a favour I did for a friend of mine who was leading the animation project.)

So I got that done, my internship will be finishing in a few weeks so I will be having more time to finish the writing. Looking over the work I realized that I still had a lot of things I could revise before going into the first draft (I know, I know I'm being perfectionist)

I will be revising the treatment and getting it to my copywriter so he can read it and get a better view of what my story is about- cause I was terrible in the pitching department, thank goodness it wasn't a professional gig.

However looking back to the last few months I am pleased to have noticed I have been making huge strides to my work. I think the reason why my project didn't progress was that I had clung onto certain ideas for so long that it didn't help write the story and end up creating more work for me to ensure that the setting would work. Changed setting, changed story completely.

Same went for the monster's designs. I was too stuck on a certain look that it was uninspiring. Changed a few things, added certain elements - BOOM! Inspiration!

So a tip for those who are stuck on their work. Look at it and figure out what is holding you back on writing. If certain elements/ideas are not working for you -get rid of them, cause its not doing anything for you.

Anyway if things are going well. I will be participating in Script Frenzy in April. An event where writers create a 100 page script in 30 days - think a screenwriter's version of NaNoWriMo. This will get interesting, or stressful depending on the mood I am in.

But what can I say? I do love a challenge >:)
